She hadn't seen the woman since the battle against the demons, when all they did was exchange names as politeness required. Since then, Elizabeth thought she would've liked to meet her. Even if she wasn't a warrior in the traditional sense, she was still English and in this place, that counted for another sort of camaraderie .
Which was why she had invited the woman to tea, a chance to properly talk now that they weren't recovering from battle. The arrival of her father's library and armory was a thing of pride, more than the sitting room, and she felt more at home offering tea there than the sitting room; nothing elaborate of course, but some griddle scones and biscuits with various spreads. Just pleasant enough to grow in acquaintance to the woman who assisted her in combat and a fellow englishwoman as well (however much she was from a different era).
Once she arrived, Elizabeth greeted Susan and let her enter inside. "Good afternoon, thank you for coming."
