He was riding the high that came not only from performing, but performing with Mouse Rat. April told him Genuine had arranged the reunion to close out the Unity concert, but he knew it was all her doing. Genuine was cool, but he didn't care about Mouse Rat. April did. She knew Mouse Rat was the greatest band in the world. And she as the greatest wife in the world.
"I love you so much, babe," he said to her. They'd just decided to get divorced so they could get married again. He'd divorce her a hundred times just so he could marry her a hundred and one times. His love for her knew no bounds. It was the single greatest thing in his life. He had a lot of great things, but April was the best thing.
He pulled her to him and kissed her hard on the lips. His eyes closed, and his hands circled her waist. He literally felt the earth move under his feet. He felt like he was flying. It amazed him that after roughly three years of marriage, she still made him feel like the luckiest man in the galaxy.
The air around them had changed. It was hotter. Muggy. Like outside. He pulled back from the kiss and realised they were no longer in Tom's Bistro. It looked suspiciously like they were in a park. He spun around in a circle, taking April with him because he still held his arms around her waist.
"What...Babe? Am I dreaming?" Andy finally released her from the circle of his arms, freeing up a hand so he could slap himself. He staggered a step back with a groan of pain. "Ow."
