Who: Buffy Summers & Open What: Working out When: Tuesday Night Where: Anytime Fitness Status: Open; Incomplete Rating: TBD
Following a shift at the stables, Buffy decided to head to the gym for a bit and work out some stress on a a bag for a hour or so. The last few weeks had been a blur for the slayer; the Dome almost crashed and sent everyone home and in the midst of that she'd ended up marrying Spike. To her, the latter part was much more shocking and strange to her then even losing Madison Valley. This was due to the fact that Buffy never expected to get married; she was a slayer and saving the world, her duty, took precedent over anything else most of the time. This was all especially true after she awakened the Potentials as slayers and created a sort of slayer army of sorts capable of taking out more evil in the world than ever before. She assumed her entire world would end up revolving around training and organizing them into a force that could save the world long after she couldn't do it herself. Domestic sorts of things didn't have a place in that kind of life and while there was a part of her that was disappointed about it, she knew it was simply the way things had to be.
Coming to Madison Valley had indeed changed all of that for Buffy. She no longer needed to worry about Potentials or saving the world. She could be what she always wanted to be: normal. Well, normalish. There were still the occasional demon fights from random portals opening in Madison Valley, but for the most part she could enjoy life without any of the threats that had plagued her back home. Oh, she did miss it one and a while, but knowing that Dawn had a normal life here to an extent made it all worth it to Buffy in the end. And now, she had a family between Spike, herself, and Dawn. It felt almost too perfect to be true and Buffy was still trying to wrap her head around all of it. Hence the need for a solid workout session and something to focus and center her mind on for a bit.
After changing into her workout clothes, a sports bra and a pair of knee length black pants, Buffy pulled on her sneakers and made a beeline for the bag. A few stretches here and there and she started off, throwing a few easy punches to help warm up her muscles.
