Who: Owen Grady and Sophronia Temminnick What: Getting used to life in Madison Where: In town When: Thursday morning Warnings: Not likely Status: Closed
Owen had finally slept, after several nights of restless tossing and turning, nightmares and anxiety keeping him from getting more than an hour or so at a time. Either it was because he'd gone to the party in the park, or because he'd finally reached the breaking point. Whatever it was, he was grateful because he'd slept through the night.
Granted, he hadn't even tried to sleep until something like 3am, and he'd woken up around seven, but still. Four hours? He'd take it. He wasn't exactly recharged and refreshed when he woke, but still. It was four solid hours of sleep, as opposed to waking up every hour or so.
He showered and dressed and headed out. He hated the apartment, that could have been part of the problem too. The walls were too close together, and made him feel closed in. He needed more space, more windows, a door that led to the outside. He missed his camper, and the bungalow he'd built by hand one nail at a time. He missed Claire and Blue and the familiarity of the life he'd known the past few years.
He decided maybe he'd splurge and get breakfast at the diner he'd seen in town. He had a plate of leftovers from the party in his fridge that he'd eat for dinner. Breakfast at the diner might ease some of his residual restlessness. As he headed into town, he saw Sophronia and jogged to catch up to her.
"Hey," he greeted because she was someone familiar. He didn't know her well, but he knew her.
