Bruce & Turner
"Who said anything about one cookie?" she countered with a grin. Turner was definitely learning to loosen up in Madison Valley, in part because she knew it helped Evan to see her so at ease and making friends. She thought it was important to provide a good example for him to follow.
"It's been a relief, being able to stay here." Her gaze wandered over to Evan and her smile softened. "His family isn't the most supportive," she admitted, "so I worry about when he has to go back there. I worry about if I'm ever sent back, too." She chuckled a bit. "I suppose that's the true mark of being a mom, huh?" Bruce would no doubt get it, considering he had an adopted daughter. Turner was well used to the wise-cracking teenager with sass for days courtesy of how often she visited Phil at the casino.
