Back home, Jay had his friends. He always had them. But the thing was, he had them here. All of the ones that mattered. And they didn't have to put up with the Isle or everyone looking down on them, or the knowing looks when they were introduced. He didn't have to be Jafar's kid. He could just be Jay, in his own right. And that was something he'd never had before, and something he was finding that he really liked.
And Peter and Gamora were great. They didn't hover or make them do anything they wanted to do, but they were there when they needed them. And they cared, which was the strangest part of all.
