Owen Grady and Astrid Hofferson
Astrid really hadn't minded one way or another about the excitement early in the month. Hiccup was here, but he was also back home, and she really hadn't been here long enough to make any long term connections that she would desperately miss if she went back home.
But one thing good that had come out of it was that Stormfly had arrived. It made her a lot happier here, and a lot less like she had left an important part of herself back home. It hadn't felt right at all to be here without her dragon.
Of course, she couldn't bring her with her everywhere, because there were a lot of people here who didn't understand that dragons (especially the trained ones) weren't just going to eat you at the slightest provocation. And she really didn't want to terrify people any more than she had to.
But since they were at the park, Astrid didn't see any reason not to bring Stormfly with her. She could keep her distance and get some exercise, and it was something that should have been good for everyone involved.
Except that the dragon kept poking her nose out, curious about the smells of food and the noises of people. Astrid had shuffled herself towards the woods to hopefully be able to keep Stormfly from coming completely out of it when she saw a man wandering around with a plate of food. Knowing that she probably looked pretty suspicious, she gave him a nervous smile. Which, when she thought about it afterwards, probably made it look worse.
