Astrid & Hiccup
Hiccup hadn't noticed her put the headphones on until she was already taking them off and chuckled sheepishly. "I figure it can't be any worse than dragon blasts but..." he trailed off and shrugged. Considering how they usually encountered dragon blasts in combat situations, he didn't want to realize he didn't like the sounds right when the fireworks started.
He smiled though when she kissed his cheek. Hiccup knew he'd done something right and that was all he ever wanted to do. Doing right by Astrid was how he wanted to live his life. "They're supposed to be all kinds of different colors and shapes," he replied, focusing on what was in front of them instead of what was between them. "I think they're a reasonably popular way to celebrate holidays." He didn't fully understand it, but that was half the fun.
