Lucas & Riley
She'd been having a good time talking to people but Riley made no sound of protest, instead just grinned brightly and went along when Lucas came to get her. She wanted to spend her time with him more than with anyone else tonight. It wasn't any kind of special holiday for couples or anything like that, but this summer Riley was looking forward to spending a little more time just her and Lucas. She wanted to spend time curled up together and kissing and maybe one night under the stars, like they'd experienced a long time ago when they were older, just a teeny bit more than kissing. She thought she might like that.
So tonight was all about just spending time with her boyfriend, who she loved almost as much as she loved her best friend.
She lit up even further seeing the spot he'd found for them. "This is perfect!" she exclaimed, immediately sitting down with a gentle plop. "You didn't have to worry about the noise, though. I'm from the city, remember?" Okay so her very specific part of the city had never been very loud, but she'd been to plenty of loud spots back at home and fireworks weren't scary. As long as she had him there to protect her.
