Who: Anna Latham & Scott McCall Where: Her new house When: A couple days back Warnings: C for cuteness Status: Completed GDoc
Anna had texted Scott to meet her just on the edge of town. She was all big smiles and practically bouncing on her feet while she waited. She was excited to show him what she'd, with Maggie's help, had found for her own use.
Scott had headed out soon after getting the text from Anna. He'd taken time to reply and to let someone know he was going out. And then he left, wondering what she wanted to show him. He figured it could be anything, and though his mind raced with possibilities, he couldn't settle on any one thing he thought it really might be.
He found her easily, and approached her with arms out. He embraced her and kissed her temple in greeting. "What's got you so smiley?" he asked. Her smile was infectious, he couldn't help but grin.
Anna returned the embrace and the kiss to his cheek. "I've decided I'm over staying in the apartments." She looped her arm through his easily.
"I wanted you to see what Maggie found she thought I'd like." She smiled up at him, head tilting just a touch.
"I can understand that." He smiled a little smile. "I moved in with Jeremy pretty much right away," he told her. And he'd been there ever since. Liam was there, and now Stiles too. It was Scott's home, the only home he'd ever known in Madison Valley.
"So where is it? I can't wait to see."
"Just a bit of a walk this way. I hope you don't mind." She chewed on her lip then smiled. "I think you'll like coming to visit me out there."
"Maggie offered to help me find a place. I'm glad she did. I think it's very much me."
"Is it? Hrm. Let me guess. It's probably a cabin." He didn't know why, but a cabin seemed like her style. "And probably quaint. Kinda small, but not like really small. Two, maybe three bedrooms? And a nice porch. I can see you sitting on a rocker or a porch swing in the evenings."
He hadn't known her all that long, really, but he felt like he knew her pretty well. Not as well as he'd like. He was still getting to know her. But so far? He liked what he saw.
Anna laughed, it was a sweet sound, as she smiled. "Pretty much yes. It's small, but cozy. There's even a stone fireplace." She led him towards where it was, it was a bit of a walk but she liked walking. She hadn't bothered investing in a car here.
"Look at you knowing me pretty well. Ironic considering I grew up in the middle of Chicago." She teased, "but I much prefer the quiet of nature"
"Like in the city?" Scott gave her a I don't believe you kind of look. He did believe her, of course, but it didn't match what he knew of her. "I can't see it," he said with a shake of his head. "You're definitely not a city girl."
"Like in the middle of the City!" She laughed softly. "I spent the last few years in Montana thigh and adapted pretty well!;
Scott laughed. It was a genuine, relaxed laugh. "I just can't see you living in the city. You're just, I don't know. Not a city girl." He didn't mean it to be a bad thing. There was absolutely nothing wrong with being a city girl. But Anna seemed more suited to the wilderness. To hunting and hiking in the woods, fishing and cleaning and cooking it herself.
Anna smiled at him, "I wasn't always this way." she teased a bit. "I was very much a city girl, but i really adapted to the country and I really do love it." she really was learning to be much more settled in teh country. City life no longer agreed with her, and it was kind of nice, really. She grinned as they made it to the house, she paused at the end of the driveway.
Scott nodded. "Well, I just know what I see." Which he liked. A lot. She stopped and he stopped right beside her, glanced up at the house ahead of them. "Oh, wow. That's your place? That's, I mean, from here? It looks awesome. Look at that porch."
She grinned a touch at his reaction. She liked what she saw, a lot, too and hoped he'd find ways to be more in her life than he was. "Isn't it great looking?" she beamed at him. "It feels like it came out of Montana just for me." she laced her fingers through his and dragged him towards the house itself. "It will be. I just have to do the final paperwork and all that. But yeah, a couple acres, tucked back, sort of quiet."
"I like it. Can we go inside yet, or no?" Since she still had to do the paperwork, he wasn't sure. He could imagine though, that it was gorgeous on the inside. It definitely looked amazing from the outside.
She pulled a set of keys out of her back pocket and twirled them on her fingers. "We certainly can." she grinned as she practically skipped to the door to open it to show him the inside. She bit her lip as she looked back, grinning.,
He followed, grinning and enjoying the moment. He was really glad he'd met Anna. Some part of him would always miss Kira, but he didn't think she'd want him sitting around feeling sorry for himself. He was moving on, taking up a new chapter in his life. A chapter that included Anna as a main character.
"Oh man," he said as he reached the door and peered inside. "It's very you-looking."
No one would ever replace Charles. She had that bond, although cut here, she would never want it any other way. This place was meant for second chances, a new beginning. For her it was a third. But she wasn't fighting it. He was a lot to her, meant the world already, she'd stayed in his room while he'd been gone, worrying over everything. Hoping against hope he'd be back. The wolf was satisfied, too, with this change in their lives.
"Isn't it?" she grinned as she looked around. "I mean, it's absolutely gorgeous"
"It is beautiful," Scott said. he walked inside, and looked around, looking up to the ceiling and all around the first room. "It's really nice," he nodded. He felt the same. She was an important part of his life. She'd never replace Stiles, or anyone else in his life, she had her own role to play.
She leaned on the counter, blue edging her eyes. She pushed off it to close the distance between them. She was happy he liked it. Fingers came up to rest on either side of his face, and she leaned in to kiss him.
He closed his eyes, and his mouth opened to her. His hands moved up her back, caressed her shoulders and one hand moved down her back while the other slid into her hair.
And sunk into the kiss, she sighed against him, loving his fingers in her hair. She smiled against his lips, "I hope you'll come visit." She said softly, eyes almost all Wolf blue.
"Are you kidding?" Scott murmured when the kiss broke so they could both breathe. "I'm going to be here so often you're going to think I live here."
Anna laughed warmly, playfully nipping at his lips before she lopped an arm around him. To drag him to where the bedroom was. "You're wonderful to me"
Scott laughed as he followed along with her. "Oh, this is nice." The bedroom wasn't huge, but it was big. It was nice. And it really seemed to suit her.
She blushed softly as she curled her fingers through his. "I'm sorry the second bedroom is going to be converted. I guess you'll just have to stay in your. With me,"
"Oh. That will be such a problem for me," he said with a playful little smile. "I mean...you know." He looked her over. Sex was a huge step. But she wasn't necessarily suggesting that.
Her eyes sparkled. "Good I look forward to it." She turned and pulled him onto the bed laughing
He fell to the mattress laughing right along with her. "I think I could get used to this. Being here, with you."
.''She snuggled against him and grinned. "well you're welcome over at any time, Scott, I mean it"
"I'm going to take advantage of that," he told her. He leaned in and kissed her lips. "I like being with you. Doesn't really matter where. but this is a nice place for it."
"Oh, that so?" She grinned as she leaned into his kiss, grinning a bit as she returned it. Fingers reaching up to run through his hair and down the back of his neck. He was good for her and she was glad they'd met. She laid back and stretched. "I was thinking"
"Were you?" Scott lifted her head to look down at her and into her eyes. "What were you thinking?"
Anna nodded, looking up at him. "Well, it's, I know it's hard to think that I think." She teased, "but maybe, maybe I think we should christen the house when I move in." A small smirk
"You think so do you?" Scott let his fingers drift along her arm. "Well. I think that is an excellent idea." He really did think it was a great a idea. A big step for a new beginning. it made sense.
She looked a little shy at that, lowering her eyes a little, she'd been a little afraid it came out too cheesy sounding. Her smile brightened though when he said it was an excellent idea. "Kind of celebrate, you know? Us, new starts etc"
He didn't think it was cheesy. He didn't think it was the least bit cheesy. He thought it was perfect. He grinned and leaned in to kiss her softly. "New starts," he said, his voice an echo of hers. He really liked the sound of that.
