Juggling two babies was never easy, even when Paige had help. Which, to be fair, was a lot of the time. Between her husband willing to work shorter days and their ward and their friends, she had a lot of support. And thank god for that; she couldn’t imagine going even a whole day without them. The twins had settled into a routine that wasn’t one wanting to be fed every other hour and at six months old they were happy enough to be put into a stroller and taken for a walk on a nice day. Which had been Paige’s intention, getting the kids out and getting them some fresh air, getting herself out of being cooped up in the house with them too.
It was good for them, she figured, and for her. She was going completely stir crazy not working. Paige was so used to putting in long hours and answering emails no matter where she was that taking the time off at the end of her pregnancy had been a welcome vacation. But the longer maternity leave stretched the more she looked forward to being able to leave the kids for a couple of hours and get back to work. Getting out and about without any real purpose was an alright compromise, for now.
Good intentions didn’t always work out as planned, though, and Paige found herself in the park with one baby crying in her arms while the other screamed in the stroller
