WHO: Qrow and Rogue
WHAT: Random run in
WHEN: Tonight
WHERE: Lou's
WARNINGS: None really
STATUS: Closed/Completed gdoc
Ever since he'd came back, Qrow hadn't been in the greatest of moods. No, it wasn't the nightmares or the fact that Weiss thought she was Snow White and they ended up with a bunch of woodland creatures in their house (they got them all out, thank god). Those weren't fun at all, yes, but that wasn't what had been bothering him.
It was Raven. She had gone and joined up with Cinder of all people. He and his sister had a strained relationship sure, and he was cynical, but he guessed a small part of him hoped that she would've turned around. But no, she had gone with the enemy instead.
So what did Qrow do when he was upset? He went to Lou's to have a drink, of course. He walked in, sitting on an empty barstool and ordered his usual.
***
Rogue was perched at the bar grumpy as usual. It was almost her state of being as of late. She glanced over at Qrow. “You look grumpier than usual.” She said as she tilted her head back draining the glass she had in her hand.
She gestured to pay for his drink and one more of hers. She kicked her feet up under the stool and sighed. “Sorry. Didn't mean to bother you.”
***
Qrow just glanced at Rogue, looking over at her. "I could say the same about you," he responded with a shrug, taking a drink once he was handed the glass.
He shrugged, waving her off. "It's fine," he replied. He gave her a quick nod and smile, as if to say thanks for the drink. "What's making you grumpy tonight, if you don't mind me asking?"
***
She tapped her head. “Enough nightmares in here to not sleep for decades.” She smiled gently and shrugged as she took her glass from the tender.
“ain't sleeping much, that's just how it is though. You?” She stared into the glass, decided she wanted it colder and iced the whole glass over. Fingers curled tightly around it.

Qrow made a face. "Yeah, the nightmares were the worst. Sorry you have to go through that." He didn't know her personally, and he hoped they weren't too bad, but obviously they must've been pretty horrible for her.
"Family problems," he sighed. "My twin sister and I, we haven't seen each other in a long time. It's a long story, but we've became estranged. Now she teamed up with the enemy and working with them."
***
She only shrugged.
“Oh well ain’t that a bitch.” she said as she shook her head. “I feel ya, family’s are complicated and I’m sorry to hear it.” she said honestly as she sipped from her glass and sighed softly.
She tapped the bar lightly and tossed them extra cash to keep a tab for them both. “Here’s to forgetting the stupid shit our family does.” she lifted her glass to him.

"Yeah," Qrow nodded. "I mean, I have other family and they're amazing. Still doesn't really help, though." Raven was his twin. She had been there from the very beginning and for awhile, they were all they had.
Whatever. "Cheers," he said somewhat sarcastically, taking a sip of his drink after clinking his glass against hers. But just as he was about to set it back on the bar, it slipped from his hand and crashed onto the ground.
"Really, again?" he sighed. Usually he was frustrated whenever his bad luck happened, but right now, he was too tired to be angry.
***
Rogue arched a brow at him.
Then smirked a touch as she dragged Domino out of hiding in her head and put the luck back into the night. “You have a bad luck streak don’t you?” she cocked her head sideways. She handed him a new glass.
“Perhaps this will help.” she said simply as she worked Domino’s power to his advantage instead of for hers.
***
"Something like that. I'm basically just a bad luck charm," he said, nodding in thanks when she got him a new glass. "It's my Semblance. Er, power," he added since not many knew what Semblance meant. "Mine's Misfortune, so I tend to bring bad luck wherever I go."
At least it was only a broken glass and not something terrible. And he suddenly felt his luck change and nodded. "Thanks," he grinned a little. "I had no idea you could do that." But then he didn't know her too well, other than what he read on the network.
***
Rogue smirked a little as she did so, leaning back just a little. “One of the people in my head manipulates Luck, and probability. It comes in handy for pool, as well as dodging bullets, but it can counter things like your Misfortune by the feel of it.” she smiled warmly.
“I like bringing her powers out, they’re not so hard on me. Plus when I really need a good luck kind of day they help.” she laughed softly as she twirled the glass in her fingers. “Ever have a day you really don’t want your bad luck kicking in, just give me a shout. I like being useful sometimes.”
***
"Sounds pretty useful," he commented, taking a sip. Having a variety of powers did, although have lots of people in your head? Not as much.
"I'll keep that in mind." He didn't mind the bad luck too much. Usually it was just minor annoyances, things like objects falling or breaking. It was when it caused bad things to happened to his loved ones is when he hated it.
"Thanks again."
***
She nodded a bit as she polished off her drink and got to her feet. “Anytime.” she said lazily - the powers were useful. The people not so much and she had a lot of people in her head. She didn’t want, or need, anymore.
But that’s not how life went, of course.
“Have a better night, yeah?” she said as she smiled, moving to slip back out of the bar, disappearing happily into the darkness and not minding in the least.
