When the news of a portal to another world filtered through, Amberle knew she wanted to explore for at least a little while. In an effort to be a better friend, she had invited Clarke to come with her. It seemed to be a merchant city, with a busy port and a bustling population. Though she didn't have her bow and quiver, Amberle was still well armed. Knives were located at her back, strapped to her thigh, tucked her in boots, and even one disguised as a hair accessory. She'd been careful to do her hair up in such a way that allowed her to cover her ears, since she had no way of knowing if this place would be friendly to Elves.
"It is well guarded and regulated," she murmured as they walked along the paved pathways toward the center of the city. There were guards posted at regular intervals and seemed to be patrolling as well. Amberle could tell they discouraged most kinds of mischief so they'd probably be able to avoid getting into a fight or something. "Shall we take a circuit and see what there is to see about this place?" Waterdeep, it had been referred to, but she was unsure if that was its name.

Clarke was pleased to accept Amberle’s invitation to explore a new world. The opportunities to see different places was one of the nicer things the dome did for them and she certainly tried to take advantage of them when they cropped up.
Like her friend, she was well armed, just in case of trouble, but she was hopeful this would be more akin to visiting Themyscira or Berk. “That sounds like a good plan,” she said. “Do you think you’ll come back with Wil later?” She was definitely on the lookout for a possible date like activity to bring Lexa to.

“I think so,” she agreed with a nod. “To explore and perhaps have a chance to learn something new.” Wil still has much to learn when it came to wielding the Elfstones, but there was only so much he'd be able to do in Madison Valley. Amberle thought he might find a wizard or mage who would be willing to unlock more of his abilities.
"I am hoping it will be more fun than dangerous," Amberle admitted. It was always good to be cautious when it came to these portals to other worlds, but so far most had been relatively pleasant. "I think it won't be quite as enjoyable as Themyscira though." That had been a world of fun for Amberle, to be among only women and to be able to show off her skills.
"There do seem to be more of these, as of late." It wasn't quite a worry, but it did give her pause.

The uptick in weird activity around town was slightly worrisome, but Clarke tried not to think about it too much since even the weirdest day in Madison Valley was better than being back in Polis or Arkadia. Especially as long as Lexa was here.
“I think I’ll probably come back with Lexa too,” she said. “We both really enjoyed Themyscira.” Which probably wasn’t a surprise to Amberle, given that all three women were fierce warriors. “And this place seems like it could be almost as interesting.”
Clarke didn’t think anywhere would ever compare to the island full of hot badass women though.

Amberle wasn't surprised in the least to hear that Clarke and Lexa felt similarly about Themyscira. As they continued toward the main part of town, she took in their surroundings. Waterdeep was an interesting and bustling area and they'd clearly entered the market given the number of restaurants and shops that seemed to be lining the streets.
"I think you may have your pick of places to take Lexa," she commented with a grin as she bumped her shoulder into her friends'. "Maybe a double date wouldn't be amiss either?" Amberle enjoyed both women's company and it seemed like something that people did with their friends. The pair of them could at least scope out some options for their respective significant others.

“Sure, that would be fun,” Clarke said. It was the kind of thing she’d only really seen in movies and on television, but it always looked like a good time and she knew that Lexa liked Amberle. Neither of them really knew her boyfriend well, but he had to be a good guy if Amberle was with him.
There was a lot to see around here and Clarke wondered if some of the shops might have interesting weapons. She knew that she could always ask Erik or Amberle to make her a sword, but she might still poke around and possibly buy a few things while she had the opportunity.
