Who: Mitchell Goosen and Cassie Sandsmark What: Surfing and hanging out Where: Waterdeep, Portal (Sea Ward) When: Backdated to May 11th Warning: TBD
Mitchell Goosen was in love. When he first arrived in Madison Valley the town was filled with splendors, yet nothing in his entire life had ever prepared him for something like Waterdeep. That massive city was something to behold, and in truth he could have gotten lost in exploring it for ages. However there really was only one thing on the young man's mind, and that was hitting the waves. Madison Valley really was awesome; he cherished the friendships he had forged, and dug all the advancements that had come about in the last twenty five years...yet the kid's heart would always belong to the water, and getting the chance to surf again was just to good to pass up. The only thing that made it even sweeter, aside from discovering that he was literally the first person to ever surf those waves, was having Cassie right there along with him for the ride. Well Cassie and his dog Slash of course.
That smile of his had only brightened when the locals stared at him as if the boy was mad. Apparently none of them had ever seen a surfboard before. Well a surfboard or a young man leaping into the waters and riding the waves. The fishermen and even City Watch on the port had furrowed brows for a moment. Yet between his infectious smile and that cheerful laughter most of the tension faded away when they realized he was in no danger of drowning. Of course hearing people mutter that he was a druid was all manner of confusing; especially since the focus was on his golden retriever; who was riding a few smaller waves of his own atop the boogie board Mitchell had gotten for his favorite dog. The water was a tad brisk at first, no worse than and early morning session down at Huntington Beach, so after a little while Goosen was completely in his element. Even though he was just rocking a pair of swim trunks, a tan, and a grin.
When he paused at last to catch his breath the young man just grinned over at Cassie, and when he offered over his board to her Mitchell spoke up at last. "This is so freaking awesome, chica! Def worth skipping school to come here. Thanks for uh, well for chilling with me today...didn't think a lot of people would dig trying this out, but having ya here is totally rad. So ya ready to try your hand at riding a few waves?"
