Kenny and George
George took a moment to try to imagine that, then decided he wouldn't be missing out on much if he couldn't quite get the image in his head.
"No, thank goodness," he said. "It passed by me this time, though I can't be sure I'd be so lucky in the future."
It bothered him, this potential lack of control - especially over himself. George hadn't been able to control much of his life as a kid, and he tended to overcompensate now. The idea of being turned into something he wasn't filled him with quiet horror.
