Adam & Evan
As much as Evan might want to sing, and he knew he had a decent voice for it, he lacked the confidence. He knew he would have a panic attack if he even tried to climb the stairs onto a stage.
So he didn't even consider doing it. Not for real anyway. In his head, he imagined that he might one day have the courage to sing for an audience. Maybe. And if not, well, that was okay too. But it was something to strive for.
He'd seen Blake onstage and Adam too. It was Adam he decided to speak to, afterwards. He approached him almost cautiously, as if he were afraid Adam would be annoyed by him. He didn't think he would be, but Evan still tended to anticipate the worst when he tried to talk to people. He had made great progress over all, but some things were harder to shake than others.
"You, um, that was, it was a, a really nice, um, a good song," he stammered, perhaps a bit more than usual. The setting was unusual for him, and that caused his anxiety to spike.
