Buffy Summers & Open
Attending the music and arts festival had been a sort of last minute idea for Buffy. Being the weather was perfect, warm, and it seemed sad to spend the day in the gym, she'd finally made the choice to check out the acts. Oh, she couldn't sing or draw for the life of her, but she did possess some appreciation for it. After all, who didn't learn to love music as a teenager, appreciate the sentiment in the words, and find a common meaning within all of it.
Maybe she could find something that could soothe her after the loss of Willow. It had been a few days, but that was not nearly enough time to be able to get over someone leaving. Especially someone who was your best friend and honestly? Who she could really use right now. Spike's arrival had left her reeling and no, not in a bad way, but in a way that it might have been good to have a best friend around to chat about it. Unfortunately, that was impossible now and Buffy was not really all that close with anyone else who had come from her world or whatever aside from Dawn. Honestly? She wasn't all too sure how much to share about Spike with Dawn other then what she already had. Spike and Buffy's relationship back home or whatever it had been had been complicated enough for everyone and now? Now it took all the complicated and flipped it on its head.
The blond entered the festival, wandering a bit at first before settling on a spot off to the side for one of the acts. She wasn't at all too familiar with who was singing, but the sound was soothing and right now? Buffy could use something to put the brakes on her racing mind. Of course the person had switch up just as she was slipping into the rhythm to something that reminded her of Spike and off she went thinking all over again. The time they'd spent together so far had been almost dreamlike in quality and Buffy would not trade anything in the world for those precious moments. Despite not having a soul or chip, Spike was not hurting people and in fact, was actually becoming a fit member of society...sort of. While Buffy knew he was doing all of it for her, it didn't change that fact that he was doing it. Oh, Buffy was beyond proud of him for it too. She knew he had it in him.
