WHO: Magnus Chase and Thor Odinson WHAT: Catching up WHEN: Saturday morning WHERE: The park WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
The closer it got to summer, the more time Magnus wanted to spend outside. Half of him came from his dad, after all, and summer was a big thing for Frey. He and his mother had always loved camping too, before she died. It was no wonder his parents had hooked up, with what an outdoorsy sort his mom was.
Today, he was sitting here alone, though, fiddling with the rune necklace around his neck. He hadn't had Jack out since he arrived, because there hadn't been much reason for it. Magnus wasn't a fighter, not really. Sure, as an Einherjar, he was better than most normal people at it, but compared to the others, he sucked. And most importantly, he didn't like it. He just wasn't the sort of kid who liked fighting and violence. That came from his dad, too, apparently. So having a sword like Sumarbrander was kind of weird, even if he wouldn't have gotten by without him. Keeping him disguised as a necklace was for the best, though.
A lot had been going on lately for Magnus. He was still sad about the break-up with Ian, but he wasn't letting it get to him too much. It was what it was. He wished it hadn't gone that way, sure, but he couldn't change it now. He'd just have to wait for what was to come, be it good or bad.
Sighing, he ran his hand through the grass, smiling a little as an ant climbed onto his hand. Suddenly hearing footsteps behind him, he turned his head to see Thor.
"Oh, hey," he said. Thankfully, this Thor wasn't nearly as annoying as the one back home.
