WHO: Merida and OPEN WHAT: A bit freaked out WHEN: Wednesday morning WHERE: By the river WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
According to the red haired boy, she had been here before. Merida couldn't remember a thing about it - but it would hardly be the strangest thing about this place. She'd been told when she arrived that it was the year 2018, but that didn't mean anything to her. She could tell by looking around her that this was a very different world, but she didn't know that she had come forward in time an entire millennium.
What she did know was that she recognized...almost nothing. There was nothing familiar here in the town. And that made her feel very out of place and very on edge. If she didn't recognize anything, how could she protect herself? If she didn't know what the dangers were, how could she avoid them? She'd learned quickly to walk on the raised stone pathways ('sidewalks'?) that the horseless carriages did not travel. They were faster than any horse, and she certainly did not want to end her days getting run down by them!
She'd been out exploring most of the morning, and to be honest, it was rather overwhelming to her senses. She was exhausted. Collapsing at last on a bench by the river, she buried her face in her hands, her long red hair hiding her from the world. She could do this. She could find the strength. She just had to find it within herself - and that was harder right now than it had been in a very long time.
