Although you couldn't tell, Jay was nervous. He liked Cassie, and couldn't help replaying in his mind the things he'd discussed with Peter. Apparently, if you really wanted a girl to like you for you, you had to be vulnerable, and tell them things about yourself. Jay wasn't all that comfortable with that because his past kind of sucked and he didn't want Cassie to think less of him. But then again, Peter knew what he was talking about.
He loved when Cassie sat next to him instead of across from him. He could feel the warmth coming off of her and that was awesome. It was also a lot more intimate and he liked that a lot too. Cassie was one of the sweetest people he'd ever met (and he'd met annoying princesses) and being close to her was like a freezing man cuddling next to a fire. He couldn't help but wonder if it was her goodness and her sweetness that attracted him. It very well could have been.
"Well, there are two choices," he said, grinning. "We could go see "A Quiet Place" which is supposed to be scary but really good, or we could go see "Isle of Dogs" which is about...an isle of dogs."
