Evie & Warren
If she'd tried to say anything more than that, it probably would have massively freaked Warren out. He was doing better since meeting Will and the others (especially Layla, who he considered a good friend), but he still wasn't good with the emotional connection thing. He stunk at it, really. And pushing him too fast and too hard was a really good way to get him to withdraw into himself again.
But Evie wasn't, so it was all good. Better than good.
"Doesn't bother me if it doesn't bother you." He knew that Evie's guardians were pretty easy going. Really easy going, actually, which in his opinion was how guardians should be. With the stuff Evie'd been through and he'd been through they seriously didn't need helicopter guardians concentrating on their every move.
