"You can just call me Turner," she replied, a little amused that he'd only just arrived. It was hard to believe that she'd been around for five months. Some days, it felt like years and other times it felt like she'd been running around with Reacher just yesterday. She didn't miss that part of her life before Madison Valley.
"Nice to meet you, Corso." She hoped he'd never call her ma'am again. She wasn't that old. "It does get a little easier, the longer you've been here. Finding a rhythm helps, too. You know, a job, finding your regular food place, all of that." Turner had gotten a ward too, and that had given her greater purpose. Those kinds of things grounded her to reality and she was grateful for it.
"It's hard some days and easier others. How familiar is this place to where you're from?"
