Not for the first time, Elizabeth wondered if perhaps she should just study at home, instead of taking her resources to the library. With examinations just a few weeks away, everyone was there trying to juggle notes as well as current assignments. She herself preferred to be by herself while reading, especially when the reading wasn't entirely for leisure, and yet the library lacked the distractions her home provided. She was there to study and do her work, nothing more.
A look at the clock revealed she had been there for four hours already, and she had an early start at the firing range the next morning. With any luck, she might be able to grab a quick bite as well, as she had accidentally skipped dinner that evening. She could go without it of course, having been disciplined enough to withstand on an empty stomach, but that was always on a 'needs must' basis, and not something she enjoyed enough to make a habit from.
She collected her things (mostly notes in folders as well as her electronic tablet) and made her way outside, the cloudy light of the evening making a stop by the tea shop or just home even more appealing.
