WHO: Warren Peace and OPEN WHAT: Buying corsages WHEN: After school on Monday WHERE: Town and Country Florist WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Open/Complete
Warren couldn't believe that he was going to another school dance. The last one he'd been to had been a total and utter disaster and he definitely wasn't in the mood for round two. That, and he wasn't really a 'dance' kind of guy. He was the broody kid who sat in the corner and glared at people. Or, at least, that was what he had been for most of his high school career. It felt weird that people weren't letting him be that anymore.
But he did like Evie. Sure, he wasn't thinking about picking out curtains or anything, but he liked spending time with her, and they'd kind of bonded over the memory thing, even though there was a lot that he hadn't told her. That time still would have been a lot more painful if she hadn't been there. There was something to be said for not being alone.
Evie had the clothes figured out, of course, so he didn't have to worry about finding a tux, or any of that sort of stuff. That was a relief, since he couldn't even just borrow one of his dad's in this place. But still, it was his responsibility to order the corsages, and he figured he'd better go ahead and do that because he was pretty sure Evie would be super pissed if he didn't.
So Monday after school, he found himself in a florist's, surrounded by flowers, and feeling just about as uncomfortable as he'd ever felt in his life. He regretted not bringing Layla along. Or maybe making her do this for him. But no. He was a hero, and he could do this himself.
