WHO: Charles Xavier and Diana Prince WHAT: Having coffee WHEN: Tuesday afternoon WHERE: Starbucks WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Although five dollar coffee was rather on the ridiculous side, even for someone with Charles' padded finances, he liked Starbucks. There was something about their coffee that was particularly pleasing to him, and he liked the atmosphere as well. It was a peaceful place to do some reading and be around people without necessarily having to socialize with them. Not that that was a problem for Charles - he tended to like people, in general.
He was spending this time grading some papers for his classes at the University. Most of them were positively dreadful and making Charles lament for the sad state of education in the 21st century. Of course, one or two of them was decent enough, but it hardly made up for the simple lack of writing skills that the others exhibited. He was starting to wish that he'd chosen to go to a pub instead.
But then he looked up and smiled when he saw (and heard) Diana enter the shop. They'd had an interesting encounter on New Year's, and while their relationship certainly wasn't going that way again, he was quite fond of her.
Would you like to join me? He spoke to her telepathically as he waved. A talk with her would be a welcome distraction from the downfall of American education.
