If there was one thing Elena hated more than anything it was being injured and thus, being weak. Unfortunately, she was both these things at the moment and thus hauled up in her bedroom. Snuggled beneath a bunch of covers and head resting on a stack of plush, comfortable pillows, Elena was supposed to be resting and for the most part she was. Unfortunately, her mind remained on the go; she felt like she should have been out there, walking the parameter around the house, protecting her home...their home. Unfortunately, the body remained broken even if her spirit was completely ready for action.
Besides, Derek wouldn't let her out of his sight and not out of bed. As it was, Derek insisted on bringing her breakfast in bed and taking care of her. Despite the circumstance, Elena was grateful to have someone so sweet, so loving and loyal in her life. The Pack was lucky too. As it was, Elena could smell the scrambled eggs and sausage from all the way up here. When the door opened and Derek was on the other side, a tray with eggs, sausage, orange juice, and yes coffee. Pushing herself up, Elena offered him a bright grin. "I know. I know," Elena replied.
