She hadn't eaten in several hours, but even if she should (and likely needed to prepare something for Cassie), the thought of eating made her stomach twist. "A few hours. Came in just in the late afternoon. I don't know if this thing has a target or is running wild, but you're right-it's more assuring to know others are on the hunt for it."
Granted, a part of her wished to be out there with them, but that would mean leaving Cassie and she wasn't about to take that risk.
