WHO: Eddie Castile and Jill Mastrano
WHAT: Going on a secret picnic date
WHEN: Thursday afternoon
WHERE: The park
WARNINGS: TBD/Likely low
STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
Eddie had spent most of his night pacing the hallway, trying to figure out what exactly it was he'd gotten himself into. He'd allowed his heart to win out, and because of that, he had a date with Jill today. Well, it wasn't very serious, just a quick picnic in the park in the few hours that Dimitri had scheduled him off, but still, it was time they were spending together, alone, and for romantic reasons.
He was nervous for a hundred reasons. First, because he thought it was a bad idea from the beginning. He already knew he liked her, and he knew that spending time with her was just going to intensify his feelings. He knew he shouldn't be with her, no matter what his heart said, but he knew that being with her was only going to make his heart speak louder. He didn't want to hurt her, either, when this didn't work out - not because they didn't want to, but simply because they couldn't allow it to.
And as the time drew nearer, he realized that there was another reason he was nervous - because he wanted her to like him. She said she already did, and he believed her. But what if they got out on the date, and he did something stupid, something to disgust her, or make her change her feelings about him? That terrified him almost as much as the other things put together, which was absolutely ridiculous.
When his break came, he glanced outside, glad to see that it had turned considerably overcast. He'd planned their (very) short hike through the pine forest near the place he'd chosen to eat, so Jill would be in very, very little direct sun at any time. But still, the lest bright sun in the sky the better. Her getting sick would make a rather terrible impression on their first date. He grabbed the picnic basket he'd packed and made his way to her room (which was also his room), and stepped inside.
"Jill? You here?"
