Who: Derek Hale and Bellamy Blake What: Matchup Where: The woods When: Friday afternoon Warnings: TBD Status: closed/ongoing
Spring was right around the corner and Derek was glad. The cold didn't bother him as much as it did a regular human, but being born and raised in California meant that he preferred warmer weather. Winter was the worst thing about his time spent living in New York and it was one of his least favorite things about life in Madison Valley.
Although he would take winter year round if it meant he could avoid the kind of thing that happened a couple of weeks ago. Forgetting himself, who and what he was, was an experience he did not wish to repeat. Especially since he'd hurt one of the people he cared about the most during that time. The fact that it was an understandable mistake and that Elena didn't hold it against him did not do much to assuage his guilt over sleeping with another woman.
When they wrapped up early on their project today, he decided to head out to the woods to regroup. Being in nature was grounding for him and he needed that right now. It didn't even surprise him when he heard soft footfalls and a rustling in the underbrush nearby. A lot of people found solace in nature here. "Hello," he called, not wanting to take anyone by surprise.
