Who: Presto and Maya Hart Hunter What: Random encounter Where: Park When: Friday, after school hours Warnings: Not likely Status: Closed
There had been a spring art and music festival the past two years, and even though Maya hadn't heard much about one happening this year, she trusted that it was going to happen. She'd been working on a new song, and a new drawing. Both were proving to be a difficult process for her, but that was because the older she got, the more perfection she demanded from herself and her creative process.
She had been feeling stunted, and decided to head to the park after school to work on one or the other, if not both of her projects. She sat at a picnic table with her pencils and sketchbook, and her notebook for her poems and songs. She spent a few minutes thinking she was going to draw, but it was the song that seemed to be wanting attention.
After a while, she set the sketchbook aside and focused instead on her music. She scribbled a couple lines, then sang them, scratched some of it out and reworked it until she felt it was working better. Standing up, she belted out the lyrics*, unaware there was someone nearby.
