Tulip was feeling better, finally. The morning sickness had subsided enough that she felt vaguely human again. Being pregnant, as it turned out, didn't seem to be much fun. Or maybe it was because it was thrown at her, a proverbial curve ball, because she hadn't planned it, and had no choice in the matter. One day she was living her life status quo, and the next thing she knew, she was suddenly pregnant.
She wasn't unhappy about it. Not at all. She was actually looking forward to having a child, a family, with Jesse. There was no reason to think this baby wouldn't survive, their lives were vastly different, and far less physically demanding in Madison Valley. Weird things happened, but there was no criminal career, not constant physical risks to herself and the child she carried.
As a result of feeling better, she decided to take a walk in town. It was a nice enough day, and she could certainly benefit from the fresh air. She carried a messenger bag as she walked, enjoying the sunshine.
