Ella, Max, and McCree
Sinking down to take a seat beside her, Ella explained it about as well as he could have. It was far more eloquent than he could have done and McCree appreciated that.
He appreciated it even more when she called him by his actual name. Not many people did that and that was McCree's personal preference. Placing a hand against her's, forgetting about the rest of the folks moving to and fro around them, he grinned.
"Not sure I can explain it either, Ellie. I just know that, well, I don't mind it. Kind of bring out the better part of me." Was he being sheepish? A little. McCree wasn't known for sharing his feelings and what he was actually feeling or thinking. You didn't have time for those sort of things when you were hunting bad guys and keeping the peace.
"Also not sure about that, but I'm glad you think so. Hopin' that doesn't change any time soon."
