"I really hope so," Jo said. Yes, Ella came back. And so did other people. But then there were people who were gone for good and there was no way of telling what will happened. She really hoped it was the former and that Jesse would come back. She had to keep up hope.
"Yeah," was all she said. And if Ella had asked that question, Jo wasn't sure if she would've been able to answer. Because she wasn't sure herself why it was a big deal to her when she barely knew him. It just was and she doubted Ella would've understood anyway. That was one of the difference between them. Jo was willing to open herself up and let others in, while Ella tended to close herself off and not get too close to anyone.
She sighed and picked up her phone, looking at it for a moment. "Looks like Tea's planning another heated pool party," she said. "Not sure I'm in the mood for that. I didn't even want to go see the dragons with Kenny." Which might be a once in a lifetime thing because how often do you get to see dragons? But no, all Jo wanted to do now was just lie in her bed all day.
