That was terrible. No, it wasn't terrible. It actually hadn't been that bad compared to some of the other stories Mal had overheard throughout the morning. It was clear that she had gotten off easy with this strange memory disaster that had taken over the town. She was also relieved that it was nothing she had done while practicing her own magic. The last thing her or her friends needed was something else to pin on them. Mal's paranoia about being stripped of her powers was still in the back of her mind, but it had calmed a bit. She was still careful and cautious.
Standing in line and waiting to grab something for lunch, the mood was definitely something. Not somber, but the tension seemed pretty thick. Mal could only imagine what it was going to be like for the adults in the town.
"I swear if they run out of pizza, it's just going to define the rest of this week," she grumbled, placing a container of fruit on her tray.
