Hermione worried her lower lip when James asked Harold if he was glad she'd come to visit. Had she really been spending that much time away from them? She supposed she had because of the shop and getting everyone set up with at least a place to stay if no one had any identification on them or anything. The general consensus was that they were all in a sort of coven and that they all had magical abilities, and while she wasn't certain she was the leader, she was certainly adept enough to run a shop so she felt it was her responsibility to make sure everyone got sorted.
"I'm sorry," she apologized, leaning in to bop Harold lightly on the nose in an effort to make him giggle. He rewarded her with a big smile. "Why don't I close the shop early and we can spend the rest of the evening together? Have a proper meal and all?" Hermione wanted to know what was between her and James, and she absolutely loved her son. She just didn't feel quite as strongly about James as she thought she should and that bothered her.
