It had been a couple of days now and they were no closer to recovering their memories, but at least Ian had someone nice to hang out with while they were going through this difficult experience. They hadn't been able to figure out where Dawn lived, so she was staying with him at the Farm house (not in the same bed, he wasn't bold enough to suggest that to a girl he only remembered meeting two days ago, even if she was his girlfriend), so they had spent almost all their waking hours together and were quickly becoming really good friends despite the memory loss. They'd spent hours talking and playing video games and watching movies together. Since they didn't remember any of the movies or games everything was a new experience, and it was great that they got to experience it all together.
This afternoon they were watching one of the movies from the stack of DVDs in the living room. Something called Dirty Dancing, which sounded like it could be porn, but turned out to be a sappy love story instead. It wouldn't have been Ian's first choice, but they had already watched a couple of action moves and he had to admit this was pretty good as a change of pace. Since they were supposed to be boyfriend and girlfriend he'd put his arm around Dawn while they sat on the couch together watching the movie. He certainly wasn't going to push for anything physical - given the memory loss that could be unfair or creepy, regardless of what their relationship was before - but he figured little things like this were fine, as long as Dawn didn't mind.
"That's right, you tell 'em Johnny! Nobody puts Baby in a corner." Ian said to the TV. He had a bad habit of talking to the TV sometimes when things got intense.
