WHO: Thomas and Stuart WHAT: Meeting on the streets WHEN: Tuesday WHERE: By the river WARNINGS: TBD STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
It was cold, but that didn't stop Thomas from running. For the past few weeks, Thomas had felt a desperate need to run, as if he could run past the horrible feelings that had been plaguing him since Newt left.
A big part of him wished that his friend had never showed up. He hated the way that things had been left between them - he hated the fact that he'd never been able to protect him. Back home, he hadn't been able to protect him from the Flare. Here, he hadn't been able to protect him from a pervert who wanted to take advantage of his naivite. It made him feel so useless and worthless.
He felt a cramp starting in his side and stopped to have some water and catch his breath. When he did, he noticed Stuart jogging towards him, and he couldn't help but smile. He'd come a long way since Thomas had thrown his phone in the water.
He raised his hand in greeting.
"Hey," he said. "Didn't think I'd be seeing you out today."
