Valentines parties weren't really Nico's thing. Parties weren't really Nico's thing, mainly because they included a large number of people and people weren't Nico's thing. No, he was happier with one or two close friends, in his cave. And even happier if that one person happened to be Marco. Madison Valley had taken them forward in time twice now to when they were together - it was pretty obvious that the dome was trying to tell them something.

Since the town was going to be crazy with the Valentine's party tonight, Nico decided to come in early and pick up a few things for dinner. That way he wouldn't have to deal with the obnoxious crowds he was sure the Valentine's party would bring out.

Dressed all in black with his sword of Stygian Iron on a metal chain around his waist, he looked every bit the emo goth kid...with a sword.

He was surprised to see someone out on the street, and he stared at her in annoyance for invading his space. She looked like Malia, but he knew that Malia was gone, so it had to be a face twin. Also annoying.

"Hi," he said. It wasn't rude, but it wasn't friendly, either. He was only trying to force himself to follow some social conventions here and there.

It wasn't the rudest greeting Diana had ever faced -- she was friends with Faye, after all, and that was an adventure on a good day. So Diana just smiled back. Not overly cheerful, but still, a little cheer to it.

"Hey," she said, running a hand through her hair. "What's up?"

Not the greatest conversation, no, but he didn't really seem to want conversation, so she was trying to work with that. Trying.

"Nothing," he said. Because nothing was up. What, was he supposed to lie or something? Because he wasn't going to do that. That wasn't Nico. And plus, even if something was up, why would he tell her when he barely knew her? Seriously.

But he knew it would be rude to just leave now, so...he didn't.

Instead, he just stared at her for a minute.

"You look like Malia."

	Diana tilted her head curiously. "Who's that?" She'd heard the name, but didn't have anybody to associate it with. Hadnt realized the girl it belonged to had been her facetwin. That was... a little uncomfortable, honestly. "And is that a good thing or a bad thing?" She was already related to evil, she didn't need to be looking like it, too. "This girl who was here for a long time who looked exactly like you," he said. "Except she was a werecoyote and kind of scary."

More than kind of scary, but she wasn't here to defend herself so Nico would give her the benefit of the doubt.

"I don't know. I mean, I guess she was pretty," Or so he'd heard. Nico himself wasn't really attracted to girls at all. "So if you just look like her, that's fine."
