Cisco was bored. His apartment was already a mess of cables and it’d been less than a weeks time since he’d been in Madison Valley. He couldn’t help it. Since day one of Barry Allen joining their little rag tag lab (ha say that five times fast), Team Flash had been hands on non stop. Barry hadn’t been the only one who was working to keep the Flash going. Cisco also had more important reasons now why he had to stay on top of his engineering game. Now to be an entire week in without any real reason to keep going, to say he was fidgety was an understatement. He’d entirely forgotten that he had plans again to go meet up with Caitlin. They’d done so pretty frequently since the night he arrived, but tonight? Cisco was buried in a project. Idle hands and all that.
Tonight, Cisco was lost in a world of wires. You didn’t need thousands of dollars to make a respectable home system (but man had it helped). He missed star labs. He missed his tools, the things he had to build anything worthwhile were equally as primitive as the laptop he’d been given. He’d taken a trip down to a local place to get himself some junk laptops to steal the monitors off of and was wiring himself something similar to what they had on tap at STAR labs. He had a medium sized monitor that he'd stripped down to look like pane of glass sitting on a desk above him. He was lying on the ground underneath it twisting several wires together trying to get a picture to project itself onto it with his primitive tools.
He was only growing more frustrated by the minute. The wiring in the back of the glass wasn't as pretty as his usual set up, but whatever. It could be covered.
