WHO: Eretria and Allanon WHAT:BodySwap! WHEN:start of plot WHY?:bc? WARNINGS:body swapping madness STATUS:completed Gdoc
Eretria had crashed hard the night before, she worked hard to be what she could be. She wanted to be everything that he thought she could be. It was a hard goal to live up to - she wanted to be the best. She wanted to honor the memory of him, from home, by being doing her best here. It was harder than she expected. So she pushed herself - spending time both at the home with Amberle and Wil, although not nearly as much as they wished, it was still too awkward for her, and here.
Between building in the snow and cold, and training, she was becoming stronger. Tougher. Leaner limbed, of longer endurance. She could manage to do much more, and work more with Earth than she had started. It wasn’t much and she was certainly not progressing as fast as she wanted.
But that didn’t matter in the end. She would get there. She always would get there. She knew it. She dreamt of it.
What she didn’t dream of was waking up stronger.
It only took her a pass with her hand to her head for her to realize this wasn’t exactly right. “Allanon!?” she started to call for him, something wasn’t right, when she realized, her voice was all wrong.
“Oh, gods, oh gods, what in the … “ she didn’t try to sit up yet, she just laid and looked at the ceiling. Gods help her, this was not a good morning already.

Allanon dreamed of being surpassed. Of teaching her and seeing her overcome what he was. He knew she had the inborn talent, and with training and teaching, she could become so much more. And so he trained her, pushing her and himself and not slacking off. Oh, they had downtime, and they did more than train. They talked, and laughed and had snow fights, but through it all, he knew she would one day be more than he, and he lived for that day.
The day before had been a good one, and he had laid to rest knowing he had worked hard.
When he woke to her cry, he leaped out of bed, or he tried to. His legs tangled, his hair whipped around into his face, and unexpected weight swung him forward and down he went,m facefirst into the floor. Face… and chest-first?
Rolling to his back, Allanon stared down at his now very female chest, and swore., and recognized the voice immediately. Wraithshit.
He struggled up, balancing carefully, and moved as swiftly as he could, unsteadily as that was, toward where Ere’s voice had come from… and swore to himself again.
“Eretria?”
***
“Oh, good, so I’m not insane.” she muttered, sounding too much like him for her ears. His ears. Gods, this was already the worst day ever. And she was pretty sure it was not going to get any better just yet. She took a deep breath, okay, it felt weird not having a chest to worry about. Of course she had other things to worry about. But she was ignoring that fact for the moment.
“Touch them and die, old man.” she called out, knowing full well that if she sounded like him and was, quite clearly in his body, he must be in hers. “Okay unless you’re taking a bath, because that’s fine, but… “ she sighed and sat up.
That was weird feeling.
“Okay, okay this is weird as fuck.”
Eloquent, Ere.
**
Allanon laughed as he stood in the doorway of her area, and smirked. “I’m not touching anything save for when I have to, You know better, Eretria. Save for putting things away, and washing and the necessary, I wont be touching your bits.” He truly did not want to touch her body, or look at it more than he had to. She was beautiful, but also his student.
And he was no young idiot stuck in hormonal overdrive.
“I think we will both need to teach each other a few things.”
***
“Good.” she grinned a bit. Sort of. This was weird. “Did you know you’re really freaking tall?” she looked at her/him and just sighed. “I am really short.” she shook her head and rolled her eyes. “Oh man, we have a lot to teach each other.”
She shuddered. “This is going to be embarrassing isn’t it? Because I have zero idea how to even do anything” she groaned.
**
“I do.” He chuckled and moved to sit in front of her. “It is, indeed. The bathroom part, and the showering part, and the sitting part. I have to tell you all about the wonderful world of living with balls and a penis.” He sighed, already a touch pink and contemplating going back to bed. “And you’ll have to teach me how to, er, handle, having breasts.”
Gods, he was so doomed.
***
“I feel like you've got the easier time.” She groaned not exactly loving the idea of dealing with all that. Ugh.
“I vote we just sleep until this is over.” That would be good, just sleep, she just didn't even want to think about it.
“Training is so off. I can't imagine how you even move. I want to be me again.” She groused, “those are easy, by the way, bras are your best friend and worst enemy, and try not to fall on my face a lot please?”
***
“I wish. But you are not ready for Druidsleep yet and those have unpredictable waking times.” He nodded.
“Training is definitely off. I do not want to hurt your body, or for you to hurt mine, as we do not know each other’s capabilities.” He sighed. This would be weird.
“I wish i was me again.” he glanced down, then at her. “Uh huh. I will have to try to put one of those on.”
He chuckled. “I will try not to. No guarantees. Please try not to sit on my balls, or accidentally hurt them while walking or laying down. And… going to the bathroom takes a hand, for guys.” he sighed again.
***
“You will remember I grew up with more men than women right? I do know how some things work, at least from an outside perspective.” She laughed, her style grin looking so wrong on his face.
“I think we can skip riding too. Or leaving camp. I am not going into town like this.” She stretched an arm out, looking at his fingers and shaking her head.
“Ok I can teach you, bras are easy. Actually I can make it really easy. Sports bras are this world's best invention. No clasps.” She grinned. “I'm not sure I'm ready to figure out walking.”
***
“I know, but trust me, I know women well, and this is still very awkward.” He held out a hand to her. “No riding or going to town, no. This would be awkward to try to explain in person to the others. Any of the others.”
He chuckled. “When you first stand up, spread your legs a little more than normal. It will feel odd the first time or three, but it is important.”
“A sports bra sounds perfect.”
***
“Do I have to stand up?” She groaned. “But at least it's not like I have innocent eyes to worry about.” She teased him. She was not happy, and freaking out but instead of doing so outwardly she just teased.
“Pretty sure this would be beyond awkward.” She said after a moment, then grinned at him. “How's it feel being so short by the way?” She sighed, though, and put faith in muscle memory, to get herself up. The body knew how to move, if she could just grab that and hold on to it, this might be slightly less awkward.
It wasn't. She got to her feet, mindful because she didn't really want to experience that kind of pain, but it wasn't smooth. “I want to be a girl again. So much easier.” She muttered, then a wicked laugh. “Just be happy, whatever did this picked a good time to do it.”
How to make a man feel awkward in just a couple words? Mention that time of the month and watch them squirm. But he was lucky. The look, though, on her face was priceless, because the thought was in her head and she started laughing.
***
Allanon snerked, shaking his head, and he was freaking out too, trying not to show it, for her, and for himself. He waggled a hand at her.
“This situation is the definition of beyond awkward.” He felt awkward, and held on to the wall, leaning back against it, trying not to look at his own body as she operated it.
Allanon nodded. “They did. Life would suck a lot harder if this were the bad part of the month for you.” he snerked. “You would have a lot more explaining to do.” And he stepped over, carefully, and poked her, and shook his head.
“Just be glad I don’t wake up hard every morning. That would make your movement a lot more awkward.”
He shook his head.
***
Eretria facepalmed.
“Why did you even think about saying that? Gods above you're trying to kill me already. You're teaching me tricks right now to get that urge under control. I don't even want to deal with that.”
Her decidedly feminine reactions to things, crinkling her nose for example, looked so wrong on his features. “Man you have to look down at me a lot.”
***
Allanon laughed, then, and snickered, shaking his head. “I’ll do my best. That kind of training we can do sitting down. Come, let’s sit at the table, and we can talk more.” he waved toward the main area.
“Yes. One gets used to it when one is tall. You have to look up at me a lot. I never really thought of it from that direction.” He chucked, and waved a hand at her higher face.
***
Eretria fixed him with a glare. Or somewhat of one anyway. “Good. Let's see if we can manage this without being utterly embarrassed.” She felt weird, not only because of strange body parts, but her center of gravity was off and she was taller.
She'd become adept at moving her lithe frame around. This was something of an unpleasant experience. “I do. Trust me the neck ache is ridiculous.”
***
He moved slowly, wishing he had studied movement better. But with a new center of gravity and being top-heavy, he knew he needed to be slow until he figured it out.
He was not used to these wide hips or shorter legs and arms, nor the more lithe smoothness and slimness of them. It made his strides feel odd.
“I’m not sure how you do it, for sure., I feel like I'm going to stumble and fall at any moment.”
***
“You?? How do you move?” He was massive compared to her lithe frame. This was annoying to feel so lumbering. She pursed her lips as she looked at the benches then sighed.
Slow going that was how things would be. She even managed to sit without crunching anything. “I'd be laughing my ass off if I wasn't in the same situation. I feel unsteady.”
***
Allanon gently clapped her shoulder and nodded. “I know the feeling. I am sorry you are stuck in this with me, but if I had to be in this mess, I am glad it is with someone I can trust.” he snorted.
“Can you imagine being like this, but with someone you do not know?”
***
Eretria groaned, “that would be awful.” She shuddered, then laid her head on the table. “What did we do to deserve this!?” Clearly it felt like a curse.
She turned her head to the side, to look at him. “shoulders back, Allanon, it will help. I promise.” She smirked.
**
Allanon chuckled. “We came to Madison, obviously.” he chuckled again and did as she said, wincing a little, but nodded and pivoted so he was facing her. “Like so?”
He was completely unsure in this. “This? Is going to be a long week, or so.”
