Jeremy folded his hands on his desk, looking over at her steadily.
"The biggest concern during the Change is not to get stuck halfway," he explained. "I've seen it be all too easy for a man to get too focused on the pain. Know that you cannot fight it. You will lose." And if it was after the Change had started he was likely to lose her. Or her him if their bodies were returned. He wasn't sure how that would work but wasn't planning to find out.
"But I don't think you'll have anything to worry about. My body has done it for more years than I care to remember and I will be nearby." Not so close as to watch her, he didn't need to explain to her that the Change was not something any werewolf watched another do if they could help it, and he did not need to see his own body in that state.
