Cassie had blatantly lied to Billy when she said she didn't want to know about the future. She absolute did, but she also knew that it would be a bad idea to know just in case it messed things up. Still, hanging out with Billy was the best option out of everything else. He wasn't likely to make her Hulk side come out, although it didn't seem to affect her the same way it affected her dad. That was weird. She'd snuck out and left a note on the fridge where she was going, promising to be back later.

She was dressed in her usual plaid skirt, knee high socks, and a comfy sweater, her hair pulled back with a purple hair tie. Since she and Billy went to Hinkles all the time, Cassie headed straight for their usual booth and grinned when she saw him. Damn was he handsome.

"So, did Cap you get older too?" she asked as she slid into the other side of the booth.

	"Cassie!" he rose, grinning, eyes on her, happy to see her, and warmly smiling. She was amazing. "Nah." he settled back down as she slid into the booth, unable to take his eyes off of her. "I don't change now. I am Cap all the time, basically. I mean, I'm Billy, but I have all my Cap abilities all the time." He leaned forward. "I'm glad you could come out to see me." He was happy to see her at least, which was a good sign as far as she was concerned. Cassie realized she would have been disappointed if he hadn't been happy to see her, but she wasn't going to think about that. Much easier to just focus on the here and now.

"That's cool. And yea, of course. It totally beats hanging around my parents. Dad got stuck with my Watcher abilities and I have the Hulk. But it's...more amicable, i guess?" She shrugged. "Wait, do you remember what happened recently for me? With the whole Dad getting sent home thing?" Cassie was curious if they were from the same version of things. Everything was just weird, in ways she wasn't even really sure had rules, so it was better to ask instead of assuming.

	Billy nodded. "Still got perfect memory. I never forget a single moment, especially not of time with you." He was honest about that, okay? "I remember all of it. How are you dealing with all of it? Cassie stuck her tongue out at him. "That's dangerously close to giving me information about the future," she reminded him. "But I guess that means we spend a lot of time together, huh?" Okay, so she wanted to know a little bit, but only if it didn't change anything, which wasn't something they'd be able to know now so it was a bit of a catch 22.

"It's...weird. I have a headache that won't go away and the shakes come and go." She'd had a lot to drink over the course of those few days and it was still coming out of her system. "Pretty sure I'm grounded for the rest of my life, but you'd know better than me," Cassie teased, even if it wasn't quite to the same caliber as her teasing usually was.

"Also pretty sure mom is going to kick Faith's ass, soon. Drinking just seems to cause a lot more problems."

"I don't think that is much of a surprise, is it? I mean, I like spending time with you, and want to spend time with you. That won't change." Billy grinned at her, eyes dancing.

Billy stuck out his tongue at her in turn. "Your parents are soft touches." Which was as much as admitting she would be ungrounded soonish, without saying so.

Billy nodded. "Ah, well, I hate how the drinking hurts you."

"You never know," she countered. She knew she had some very self destructive tendencies, as her drinking herself into a stupor proved. Cassie figured if she and Billy ever got close enough for it to really matter, she'd find some way to fuck it up. Nothing good ever lasted for very long with her.

It was nice to know she wouldn't be grounded forever. Cassie knew she deserved it though, so it wasn't too bad. "It was nice of you to let me crash at your place, by the way. Especially since I definitely reeked of booze and sweat and grossness." Definitely not attractive, ladylike qualities that was for sure. But it still meant a lot to her and she hadn't said thank you until now.

"So. Just how much time do we spend together, huh?"

"Yes, I do." He grinned, then nodded, eyes dancing warmly.

At her words about crashing there, he flushed. "You're welcome. I will always do my best for you. Whether or not you realize it, young me likes you a whole lot." He'd make sure to leave a note for his younger self telling him that she had said thank you.

he considered her words, then extended a hand. "Do you really want to know spoilers? If so, take my hand."

"Jerk," she countered reflexively, but there wasn't any heat behind it. One might even say there was some affection there, but Cassie would be the last one to admit that.

"Young you comes on a little too strong sometimes, but...I know. And I try not to take advantage of it." Cassie had just needed something and since she couldn't get it from her parents and Faith wasn't the sort, Billy had been the one she'd gone to.

Just as he considered her words, Cassie considered the offer. "Just some spoilers? Not all of them?" she clarified, but her hand was already in his for better or for worse.

He colored and ducked his head. "Sorry. Younger me has never really had any experience before now. He doesn't know how to ride the line between being over the top and just being honest." he offered her a trademark Billy lopsided grin.

"Just a few images of us. Nothing too... over-spoilery." He would make sure what he shared would just be a mosaic of the times they spent together, and maybe a few kisses in there, and a few... friendly touches. But nothing heavy or too mushy. He knew exactly how she was about too much display of emotion.

And over the years, their on again, off again love/sex/friend affair had become comforting and something he both liked and was used to. And he had no intention of upsetting the boat.

Nothing too spoilery. She could handle that. It was kind of interesting that he could share memories with just a touch and she focused on them as they slid by, years and kisses and more than kisses. That was...not totally surprising. Interesting, but not surprising. It wasn't like how her mom and dad were, which was good. Cassie didn't think she was built for that sort of thing, so it was weirdly reassuring that they didn't end up married with kids.

"Well then," she replied, a light flush to her cheeks. She knew quite a bit about sex, but she also knew she wasn't ready for it. "That's not too spoilery, huh? Can't say I didn't like any of that." Cassie figured he might want some reassurances that she wasn't freaking out or anything. "Good to know I grow up to be pretty hot, too."

"Some of the good but none of the bad?" She wasn't sure she wanted to know what the bad was. That would definitely turn her against or away from pursuing anything with him, mostly because anything that was super difficult probably wouldn't be worth it to her. "Maybe you do know me pretty well."

Cassie smirked when he agreed that she grew up hot. "Going to have to wait a couple more years." She tilted her head. "Exactly how old are you?" She hadn't pulled her hand away just yet, more so because she forgot her hand was in his.

Cassie didn't totally believe him, but that was okay. "Careful who you go around saying I'm hot to. You're like twice my age," she replied, teasing him. It was definitely nice to know though, and there was a part of her that kind of wanted to just find a place to hide, to curl up together and have some fun. That would be entirely ill advised through and there'd be plenty of time for that anyway. In the future. When she was ready for all of that.

"So we're stuck here for the long haul, huh?" That wasn't the worst thing in the world. She didn't have anything or anyone waiting on her back home. It wasn't like her mother gave a shit. Natasha cared more about her than her mom did. "Guess it could be a lot worse."

"Hope isn't really something I'm good at these days," she replied. He knew that though, of course he did. "Something tells me I get better at it eventually." Maybe not the best with it, having faith and all of that, but she could see herself getting better at it. Especially if she was surrounded by people who hoped more frequently than anyone she'd ever met before.

"I should probably get back before they start worrying about me," she added, meaning her parents. "But maybe we can hang out this weekend or something?"

Billy thought about her all the time. Then and now, and he couldn't help but watch her even when he should not. She was beautiful and he knew she grew up even more so. But younger him was head over heals with her now.

"I wont push it. I will always do my best to not push you too much. I know we have some areas where we are different, wildly, in thoughts." he grinned lopsidedly.

"I would like that, yeah. Maybe a movie or some such."

Cassie rolled her eyes a little at that. "Who us? Different? No, you don't say," she replied sarcastically, though it was more to be funny than anything else. They were very different, absolutely, but she kind of liked that. At least, right now she did. It would probably annoy her at times but they'd figure that out when the time came.

"A movie would be good, sure. I'll text you?" She would probably be texting him anyway. There was something about the fact that he was older, about the fact that he knew her pretty intimately from the looks of things. It almost felt safer in a way to experiment to see where her lines were.
