It was kind of weird, and probably should have been a little creepy, the way she and Nico had clicked with each other. She wasn't going to argue with it, though. It reminded her of the way she'd connected with Adam all the way back when, when they were tiny small and innocent.
Nico was kind of like the big brother she'd never had and kind of didn't really need or want.
But she was putting up with him because this damn place said she needed one until she was eighteen. Three months. She could do three months. Especially since he was a good guy and he'd been willing to give her a place without asking a whole lot of questions when the town tossed them together.
"Come on, man," she pleaded, an act which would've worked much better if she weren't trying not to laugh. "For me? Try keeping it clean?"
