WHO Turner, Evan & Connor WHAT Surprising the boys WHEN Saturday late morning WHERE Clinic -> House Hunting WARNINGS They're picking up Connor from his in-patient stay to deal with his suicidal thoughts so likely triggery STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Turner was glad that Connor could be released from the in patient program he'd been participating in for the previous two weeks. It wouldn't fix everything, not after such a short period of time, but she hoped that he now had the tools to help him identify those thoughts and stop them in their tracks. He would still have his stumbling blocks, just like Evan did, but they would be there for him to help him through. Having his own room would be a good first step she believed, so she'd been doing some quiet digging while Evan was at school and found two houses that she thought would do well for the three of them. If it could be normal - a house with their own personal touches on it and a routine they could rely on - Turner thought there was a better chance for recovery and moving forward.
It wasn't hard at all to round Evan up to head to pick up Connor, but he didn't know about the houses just yet either. The first house was her preferred option, though she wouldn't be letting the boys in on that. Turner was the only one of the three of them who could effectively keep her opinions from coloring the others.
They arrived at the clinic right on time and she led the way inside, moving to fill out the paperwork while the boys reconnected. She knew they'd been talking a few times on the phone, but that wasn't the same as seeing each other in person. It would also give her a few minutes to connect on Connor's care and things to look out for. Once that was all set, she herded the boys back outside.
"So, I was thinking instead of going back to the apartment, we could look at this house that's for sale. Maybe see if it's something that works for the three of us?"
