WHO Ella & Jeremy WHAT Chatting with Grandpa WHEN This afternoon WHERE Her house WARNINGS Probably absolutely none but you never know STATUS Closed | Incomplete
Ella had a busy few days, though somehow it was hardly a week into the New Year. Mr McCree had come over on Wednesday to partake in some of Ms Mercy's brownies and she'd convinced him to stay for lunch. She found his presence soothing and Maximilian certainly enjoyed the other man holding him. Ella was very particular about who could hold her son, but she'd never thought twice about allowing Mr McCree to. He was always very gentle and kind, which seemed to contradict a bit with the fact that he was a larger, quiet man who was generally somewhat imposing.
The remainder of her week had been spent cooking a few meals for Lady Mary and Mr Ichabod as they welcomed their daughter to Madison Valley. It reminded her a great deal of Maximilian's birth, but it also brought up some rather difficult memories of losing her husband. Ella had done her best to move on, believing that Kit wouldn't have wanted her to stop living her life, but it was still hard. She was so grateful for all of her friends who made every day better and brighter than the last, but she certainly needed it after the past few days.
Max was napping peacefully in his little sleeper that she kept on the main floor because she didn't want to let him out of her sight if she could help it. Ella was just baking for the Pack when she heard the knock at her door. "One moment!" she called, taking the time to wipe her hands on her apron as she moved toward the front door. Ella opened it to find Jeremy and she smiled warmly. "Good afternoon!" she greeted warmly. "What a lovely surprise. Please, come in. I've just got some muffins that came out of the oven and I can put the kettle on."
