WHO: Madge Undersee and OPEN WHAT: Madge faints on the way home from the store WHEN: Thursday afternoon WHERE: On the way home from the store WARNINGS: Talk of illness STATUS: Open/Ongoing
Madge was in her second trimester now, and for the most part, things were going well. Her morning sickness had ended, and if she could just beat this overwhelming exhaustion, she'd be feeling pretty well. The problem was, she couldn't. It didn't seem to matter how much she slept, she woke up exhausted. Everybody was telling her that it was perfectly normal to be tired when you were pregnant, but this seemed a little much. And it scared her.
But she refused to stop doing things because of it. She wanted to help out, to do things for Gale and around the house. She was still working, but it was only a few hours a day so she had lots of time while Gale was still at work.
Today, she'd gone to the grocery store and purchased several bags of things that they could cook easily and quickly. Neither of them wanted to spend hours standing in the kitchen, so that was the best bet for them.
It was only a couple blocks walk home, but as she walked, carrying the two moderately heavy bags, she started to get dizzy. And started feeling sick to her stomach. And started feeling weaker and weaker. She took another step, and the whole world seemed to spin. Somewhere far away she felt the bags leave her hands and the sound of the contents shattering on the concrete, but she was nowhere near by. Then the whole world seemed to be swallowed by darkness.

It was only a few moments later when she woke - she hadn't been down long. Her hand was bleeding, having been sliced on a broken jar of pickles she'd fallen next to. She forced herself to sit up, and wrapped her hand in her skirt, trying to stop the bleeding.
"Help," she said quietly, but with as much strength as she could. "Can someone help?"
