Lucas wasn't sure exactly how it got this bad, but he was determined to make sure that Maya didn't get into too much trouble. They were very late for curfew but he'd only been able to do so much to get Maya into the truck until he'd picked her up and carried her. It was honestly very much not in his wheelhouse, but he drove slow and made sure they were all wearing their seatbelts. Taking her to Shawn and Liz was probably just going to get her into more trouble, but it was better this way.
He pulled into the driveway and no sooner had he put the car in park did she throw up in his back seat. Lucas gagged a teensy bit but stopped himself from throwing up too. "S'alright, Maya," he replied, even though it totally wasn't. This was very terrible all things considered but he'd do his best to try not to make it worse.
"Come on, let's get you inside," he said, looking at her through the rearview mirror. Lucas gave Riley a reassuring smile before he got out of the driver's side of the car.
