Who: Kate Bishop, John Mitchell, and Eve When: December 25, Christmas Morning (forward-dated) Where: Mitchell's House What: Christmas morning magic and cuteness~ Warnings: Probably none! Status: Closed/In-Progress
Christmas morning was one of those days where no one really ever slept past seven. If they were lucky. Kate vividly remembered waking up her parents at approximately 7:15. It allowed her sister and father ample time to prep before they could start their day much to the frustration of both Kate and her mother. It was another subject of tension in the Bishop family, but Kate's mother had always made it as special as she could for Kate. It was how Eleanor had always been.
Kate promised herself that she was going to do the same for Eve. She didn't want to be like her father or her sister in that regard or any regard. Eve deserved to have a big Christmas when the dome decided it was going to play with her age. At least it was Eve and not her or Mitchell.
Sleeping soundly next to Mitchell, Kate had been staying with him during Eve's aging. It made things much easier considering Eve was calling her "Mum" and it made for fewer questions. Though they had been switching between who slept where, after the hours spent at Bucky's the previous night, Kate had been too tired to argue about who took the couch versus who got the bed. She couldn't even remember having a conversation about it. She just remembered putting an already sleeping Eve to bed, washing off her makeup, and falling asleep.
It was nice, though. Kate grinned and leaned over to press a kiss against Mitchell's cheek not sure if he was really asleep or not. "I bet Eve is going to come running in any minute now," she warned with a light chuckle.
