Ella & McCree
Ella agreed, but Mr McCree didn't particularly like so many people and gatherings like this. She appreciated that he spent time with her among the people she considered family, but she knew it was largely because of her that he said yes each time. "I will still worry, Mr McCree," she admitted. She just didn't like that he was alone. It struck her that he was alone quite a bit.
"But I will resolve to worry a little less if you promise to come by tomorrow evening," she agreed as a compromise. That would give her plenty of time to enjoy Christmas with the Pack and for that to wind down a fair amount before he stopped by. Ella did feel a bit bad, not inviting him to Christmas properly, but she didn't feel she had the right. She was a guest of the Pack, after all.
"It will be good to exchange presents with you, my friend."
