"It's new, I know. There's a lot to adjust to in this time," he replied, understanding exactly what Steve was facing. He knew his best friend though, knew he didn't like being told what to do, how to act, what was important, or how to do things. It was a lot like leading a horse to water but not being able to force him to drink.
"Probably better not to. Reminds me a lot of Mal and Becks if they were one person," he explained, figuring that was the best way to get Steve prepared for what Molly was going to be like. His two youngest sisters were the perfect mix of stubborn, strong, bright and incredibly caring. Steve would get that right away, and understand why it would be a bad idea to try to pull the wool over her eyes.
"Let me get breakfast going and I'll fill you in on the rest. There's a lot to catch you up on but the girls all sleep in for at least another hour." They'd have some time, even if it wasn't going to be nearly enough. He didn't even have the benefit of Steve's military habits so he could do a proper sitrep.
